How do I change font colour in my hotmail email signature?

I'm new to hotmail, and when i try to create a personal email signature, i can't change the colour of the font, and i can't even see the icon for the background colour! does anyone know what could be wrong?How do I change font colour in my hotmail email signature?
Hiighlight your signature and pick a font and font color. This works in the ';rich text editor ON'; mode.
