How do i change font color and fill in when composing emails?

I changed it once to have a grey fill-in, meaning the black letters show in a grey box instead of white. It's hard to read so I want to change it back but forgot how....thanks.

When composing e-mail you will see a ';T'; a painter's palette for the text color and a highlighter for the background color.



There is a tab you can click on that says ';abc'; with a check underneath it and to the right it says ';Spelling.';
