How can I permanently change font size of computer screen pages?

I just changed to Firefox and can't figure it out. I don't want to chagne the pixel sizes which distort image. Under the view tab it only has zoom in/zoom out (vs. small, med, large on Explorer) so even if I zoom in when I open a new window or navigate to a different site i have to do it all over again. I also don't like the font style too much but don't know if i can change that. How can I permanently change font size of computer screen pages?
Right-click your desktop and click ';properties';. A window should appear. Click the ';Appearance'; tab. In the lower-left corner of the window you can change the system font size.

If you want to change the system font, download regscrub (google it). After installation, run it. Click the ';Misc.'; tab. Select your font from here. How can I permanently change font size of computer screen pages?
The font and the starting size are determined by the site. You can ctrl-scroll (with the mouse wheel) or ctrl+ or ctrl- (on the number pad) to change the font size without having to go to the menu, but you can't change it permanently, as far as I know.
