How to change font size on microsoft word 2003?

I have a microsoft word 2003. Whenever i go to a new page the font size is 72. i want to change it, but how?How to change font size on microsoft word 2003?
Open a new document. Change the font size to what you want (12?) You can do that on the toolbar in the font size pulldown. Then File/Save As. Save as a Word template. The default template is Normal.dot - you probably saved that once with the font size set to 72. Save this one as Font12.dot, or whatever you want. Then use it for new documents. Or delete Normal.dot (after you close Word) and rename the new one to Normal.dot so all your new documents open in 12 point. (You can change margins, default font, anything else you want for your default document, before you save it, or save different .dot files with different settings.)How to change font size on microsoft word 2003?
